"Greetings

My name is Jose Sanchez, Flight Director for California Airlines and I will be providing you with some background information on the California Express version of our Jetstream that will be used for your Training check ride today.

Lets have a look at the specifications of the aircraft before we go any further."

Flight Director Sanchez turns on a video projector and the following image appears on the screen at the front of the room.

California Express Jetstream

O.K. -- I would like you to open your pilot dossier and review it carefully.

The dossier contains the following:

1) Flight Plan "ALPHA"

2) Ignition keys to CAX Jetstream

3) REAL WEATHER FILE (This must be loaded into X-plane and used for the flight.)

We expect you to have some understanding of the use of modern avionics, VOR instruments and autopilot controls. If you need help understanding the basics of VOR flight navigation, you are welcome to visit the CAL FLIGHT TRAINING CENTER for information on various navigation operations. If you are not familiar with VOR navigation, we encourage you to download the instructions on VOR navigation for use in this check ride.

Please proceed to Hangar 8-C located on the west side of runway 30L -- You can take a CAL tractor over there from the main terminal.

Good luck!

Access the pilot dossier for flight plan "ALPHA".
